This eight-level parking facility situated on a severely sloping site provides parking for 700 vehicles. The building includes entrances and exits on the first and fourth levels that are designed to use the existing traffic flow of the site. A suspended crosswalk connects the parking facility with two academic buildings located across the street. The structure is post-tensioned concrete with each column supported by a concrete caisson embedded in the existing layer of rock approximately 40 feet below grade. The garage includes design language other buildings on the UNA campus which helps it harmonize with the existing academic buildings while not overwhelming the adjacent residential neighborhood.
