This project was designed in two phases, the first being a renovation of the existing YMCA facilities, creating a new group exercise area, adding an elevator, and remodeling the existing locker rooms, restrooms, and showers. The second phase of the project, an addition, has two more group exercise rooms, one large play area, two classrooms, and an office. This new addition is entered either from the existing gymnasium or from the parking lot, where there is a covered entry area that has cast stone arches and brick columns with tapered cast stone feet. The interior is livened up with bright primary colors on the walls and lockers, and the exterior took cues from the original building.
